Only a Thai licensed Attorney can represent a client in Thai Courts on both civil and criminal proceedings.

Civil actions are lawsuits brought before the courts when one party sues another for the prevention or damages of wrongdoing or to protect a right.

Cases can involve commercial, personal or employment disputes, divorces, recovery of debts and wrongful acts such as personal injury, medical malpractice, and breach of contract.

Before setting out to make a claim, there are some critical factors to take into consideration. These include the merits of the claim, identification of relevant parties and jurisdiction of the court. Failure to provide accurate details could lead to the striking out of the claim or a summary judgment.

All court proceedings are conducted in the Thai language. Any documents produced must be translated into Thai, and you can only use original documents in evidence. The party that presents the most credible evidence is usually enough to prove a claim in a civil suit satisfactorily; known as the preponderance of the evidence.

The participation of a Thai lawyer throughout the court proceedings is critical.

We will be with you at every step of the proceedings until judgment and beyond if the case goes to the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court.
